Eminem wembley

Eminem is bringing some of his rowdy friends for the first headlining hip-hop show in the (short) history of London'sWembley StadiumOdd Future has been announced as the opener for Eminem’s performances at Wembley on July 11 and 12.
The announcement first came via a video posted to Eminem’s Instagram account in which Odd Future figurehead Tyler the Creatorannounces that, “Me and Earl Sweatshirt and the rest of Odd Future are going to be with Marshall in London on two shows before he goes on.”
The pairing makes perfect sense. In many respects Odd Future, and Tyler in particular, filled hip-hop’s scatological niche in recent years, with controversy and outrage tailing the L.A.-based rap crew much in the way it surrounded Eminem in the early stages of his career. In a 2011 interview with MTV News, Eminem said that “it feels like they’re pushing boundaries and buttons, and that’s definitely one of the things that I’m familiar with, especially when I first came out. I love it, I love the fact that they’re doing that. And the dudes can rhyme.”
Eminem’s back-to-back shows at the 90,000-capacity venue reflects his tremendous popularity in the U.K. According to Billboard, his most recent album, The Marshall Mathers 2 LP, debuted at No.1 on the U.K. charts, moving him into second place along with The Beatles for “the most chart-topping U.K. albums in a row,” behind Led Zeppelin and Abba.
In addition to his performance at Wembley, Eminem and Rihanna will be heading out on a 3-city tour in August with back-to-back shows at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, andComerica Park in his native Detroit. Odd Future members Tyler and Earl Sweatshirt both have solo shows scheduled throughout the summer, and the third season of their Adult Swim show Loiter Squad premiered last week.
